Who would think that? No artificial barrier humans can construct is even close to that effective.
Everybody knows how to curb illegal immigration.
Go after employers that are giving jobs to illegals and follow up on overstays on visas (which is how most illegals enter the country).
The wall is just an expensive, habitat disturbing, environmental disaster of a vanity project.
And that never happened while under Obama, who deported more Illegals than Trump... so why not? Yet if it was attempted under Trump, he'd be called a racist...
Illegals should be deported. I've never said otherwise.
Asylum seekers should be treated as human beings though.
Race or religion should never be the reason to refuse asylum (or entry to the country on valid visas).
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Those attempting to get into this country are claiming asylum, the majority don't deserve it. And just because they have a child does not give them any right or need of it.

The US is not a baby sitting entity...

Does any of that contradict anything I've said or are you just arguing with yourself?

If you think the wall is going to be anywhere near as effective as the English channel you are going to be seriously disappointed.

You can do both. A wall isn't that expensive, and doesn't have to be placed in areas were it's an environmental disaster.

Yes your asylum seeking people are coming with children so they can get special treatment. Have you not been keeping up with that, or are you living in your own little bubble?

Answer the question.
I already did, children are not a get into the US free card. Asylum can be done at a port of entry, not elsewhere. Attempting to get into the country illegally, and then state asylum is an immediate deportation to me.

Who said children should be a get in free card?
How many asylum seekers are being processed at port of entries?
The Trump administration has long said that there’s a right way to seek asylum in the United States: Come to an official port of entry at the border, then invoke the right under U.S. law to humanitarian protection.

But now, thousands of people are being barred from the U.S. precisely because they followed those rules.

Under an administration policy issued last week, most migrants who’ve passed through a third country — say, Mexico — will not even be allowed to request asylum at official border crossings.
