I'm on the lookout for Dems win in 2020 hot takes with any merit, they really don't have much to work with from what I've seen. Early polling before the Democrat candidates take any major hits from the primary, that's about it.
Democrats don't look for Merit. They like smooth talkers and relative unknowns. They haven't elected a well known politician to the Whitehouse since 1964. Mayor Buttigeg best fits the bill, but he has a lot of work to do.
Buttigieg aint Obama, he aint Bill Clinton either. Democrats only like those candidates when its a quality candidate, Buttigieg doesnt fit that bill, or he is playing possum for some weird reason. The messenger matters.
No he's not. But he's the closest thing they have right now. It's unknown that he can rise to win the nomination. My point being he's the type of candidate Dems have put into the Oval Office since 64.

It's like they don't want anyone that is well known or much of a track record, someone that can say whatever in the election because there is not track record and they can lie because if they came out and actually tried to reason for shit like post birth abortion they'd lose bad.

Plus someone like that they can hide their backgrounds for 6-9 months. Did it with Clinton and Obama both.

Biden would have to fuck more than any Dem nominee has in decades to lose the Partisan Demohacks. Like he would have to pull a Gary Hart.
Oh, Biden is their boy.
I think the Dems open invitation to run for POTUS is a bate and switch to sooth sore ass Bernie Bros types who are pissed at the DNC.
That won't soothe, that will exacerbate things. At least when it was Hillary, it was a women they were losing to, so it had to be somewhat muted otherwise you're attacking the girl. But to get got by another old white dude? Nah, that ain't going to play.

Will the MSM wise up and stop giving massive attention to everything Trump does and say? Will he lose his trolling edge? Have they learned anything?
Personally, I don't think they give a shit. They are just after the ratings and would sell their mothers to a slum whorehouse if would get the numbers up. We will see massive Trump coverage and a lot of fake outrage again. Biden, or whoever, will be ground down to a pulp.

I don't know. He played 'em like a fiddle.
My wake up call to his craftiness was when he told them he would address the grab em by the pussy tape. He held the press conference at his new hotel, walked up and said. It was locker room talk 12 years ago, who cares...………………… now lets honor these great WWII Veterans I have sponsored to stay in my hotel.

I think they care a whole lot. They don't want to live in a country represented by Trump.

Indeed, it's a great strategy when they got a smooth politician to execute it, if they had someone who could do that, he would fuck Biden up real bad, might even beat Trump. Unless I am sleeping on Buttigieg something fierce though, he ain't that guy as much as they wish he was. When they don't have a charismatic unknown, they tend to resort to boring insider political weather vane pick though, like Kerry or Mondale.

They only really go Bill Clinton against an incumbent, when they got a Bill Clinton and people get sick of the Republicans after 12 years. The Democrats just had 8 years prior to Trump with a slow recovery, Trump has a booming economy, GHWB had a recession after 8 years of Reagan and 4 years of Bush Sr.

Clinton had it a lot easier than a very poor Clinton knock off would, and any potential Bill Clinton's or Barack Obama's know to wait it out until 2024, and not blow their unknown status running into an "Incumbent POTUS with a booming economy" buzzsaw.
