It's very similar to East and Left Coast comedy here in America. Except black comics from those places. Black comics do not typically behave like that.

Sure... He "claims" that he didn't mean it that way, and that he doesn't want the "ok sign" to be co-opted by "at-right white supremacists"...

...But as anyone who has followed British news knows, context doesn't matter. Making a joke is not an excuse. Posting rap lyrics with the "n-word" in memory of someone who died, not an excuse. Stephen Fry is obviously as racist bigot spreading his evil white supremacist beliefs to the nation and HE MUST BE PUNISHED!!

...that is, if you truly believe in the ideology that 'hate' speech must be outlawed, then that law must be applied equally against all, no matter their politics, gender identity, race, religion, etc.

Hard to match Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, sure.

Broad City is about the only decent US comedy we get here.

How I Met Your Mother, what a fucking disappointment that show was. Went on way too long, until they sabotaged all the characters and then fucked up the ending something fierce. That show had such potential and was great in the early going, but they pissed it all away chasing ratings and milking the franchise until long after they ran out of good material.

It's been going forever and still great. The actors make the show and the characters are relatable. No way to fuck it up.
