I feel very sorry for you if you live in a country with a completely untrustworthy legal system.
Indeed, and your country also has an untrustworthy legal system when it comes to free speech. You guys are even worse, I feel sorry for you, especially when you hate free speech so much you trust them for no good reason.
I get it. You don't like restrictions on free speech. You have stated previously that ISIS should be free to post recruitment videos.
I disagree.
If you have ISIS in Britain posting recruitment videos do you suggest idly sitting by until they post something "grossly offensive?" And if you ever really listen to an ISIS recruitment video they sound a lot like an anti war leftist in the West. We all know you won't prosecute that. No standards, no principles, just power.

Yes, Monty. Nuances matter. Like the fact that the guy teaching his dog to salute like a Nazi did so as a joke, and the punchline of the joke was to make this cute dog look like something completely horrible, and to claim that is offensive is to defend Nazis. Then there is the fact that the punchline of the tweet you are defending here is that blacks are not human beings.

Fucking amazing.
Shame you are not consistent enough to have said the same thing about Rosanne Barr when she compared a black woman to an ape.
Rosanne Barr said a particular black woman looked like a humanoid ape character in a film, which was a fact, not that this black woman was less than human.

Shame you have none of that nuance you keep talking about.
I never argued that Rosanne was racist.
I'm not the one being inconsistent on ape comments.
You have immediately jumped to the conclusion that Danny Baker's comment was racist but defend Rosanne for a very similar post.

Can you point to us the ape statute in the law you are defending?

You refused to accept Dankula's explanation that it was a joke, stop pretending you don't use a double standard, you clearly do.

I know you are intelligent enough to understand the difference between the claim that a woman (who happened to be black) looks like a character from the film Planet of the Apes, and this new claim that a baby is literally a sub-human primate because he is part black.

What Barr said had nothing to do with race at all.

That radio host was clearly joking, and making fun of people who view the kid as subhuman because he's part black. Then the internet freaked out, and he took the tweet down when he realized a bunch of people looking to be offended were getting offended. Then the BBC fired him because he made a joke, pointing out the idiocy of racists, good job BBC, lulz.

I refuse to accept that he even considered it offensive. His lack of remorse any unwillingness to remove his video makes it very different from Danny Baker's case.
Danny Baker has never joined a racist political party or stood on stage with the likes of Tommy Robinson (not his real name) either.
The double standards are not mine.

There is no need to be remorseful about making a joke that offends people who are easily offended, nor is there any need to take it down. Danny Baker scores no extra points for taking it down and caving to the outrage mob.

Dankula having political opinions you disagree with and standing beside people you don't like, so it's different, that's a double standard, only applied to people who you politically disagree with. You are being a political hack twat and using anti-free speech laws to support silencing your political opposition. Everyone else is free to violate the deliberately vague law as long as you accept their apology, but not if they like UKIP and stand next to Tommy Robinson, fuck off.

That's not what Danny Baker has said.
He has claimed it was a joke about posh people and that when it was pointed out to him that it had racist connotations he removed it and apologised.

Clearly, he was stupid not to see how his comment could be construed as racist but he immediately took it down and apologised.
Your interpretation of his joke is not what he intended. I'm guessing that before today you had never heard of Danny Baker and have no idea what sort of a person he is.

He did not cave to an outraged mob. He removed it when friends pointed out how it could be interpreted.
You really should at least read up on what he has said before you jump to your ignorant conclusions.
