In such circumstances, we would petition our elected representatives to remove them as head of state and become a republic. However, since the Monarch has no real political power to affect the lives of the public it seems unlikely that would happen.
Charles is a bit of a dick but hardly a tyrant. William is generally pretty well liked though so we'd probably just cross our fingers and hope Charles' reign doesn't last too long.
