Not going to work. Lots of podcasts are already bailing on them. This is just an effort by MSM to gain control. Are you gonna pay the 8 bucks to hear Daniele Bolelli?
I looked through the offerings...

Nope.

I might wait till her accumulates a pile of podcasts and then take the free month.

A buck or two a show is fine... but $8 a month... when the only show I'm interested in is HOF.... no thanks.
interested in 1 show too many. Ravioli is now overcooked I'm afraid. The guy needs to speak English or just stop. I'm tired of his shit I can tell you that.

So no. You won't throw any money their way. Nor will the majority of people.

Losing effort. Whomp Whomp.

I already don't like that guy. History on Fire was an obvious money grab. You could read a bunch of books a month and do a lecture on them and charge way less. Probably. Not really though

I don't listen to DB for free.
His series on Cortez and the Aztecs is epic and highly recommended.
On my top ten podcast series of all time.
Listen to it ASAP if you haven't already.

The only series that I can think offhand that might rank above it is Martyrmaid's series on Israel Palestine but it's a near run thing.

I've tried him a few times, His his voice is grating to me, can't listen long enough to get the content.

Yeah but the best part of the Aztec series was the Darryl Cooper episode. But both the Cortez series and the Caravaggio one is up there with anything Dan Carlin or Darryl Cooper has done

Try the Cortez series before it goes behind the Luminaries paywall...
It will motivate you to get over his accent...
I don't even notice it anymore.

Most podcasts I listen to are available for free on Spotify now. I'm not so fond of this development.
It should be an independent art form but I guess it's up to the creators.
Some podcasts are now exclusive on Spotify. I want to have everything in the same app but that will soon be a thing of the past. Spotify has a crappy interface for podcasts and not everything is there.
