Big fan of wood burning tech myself. There are some high tech designs like wood gas and such that I've been meaning to do research on. Unlike diesel, which would require days to gas someone to death, wood gas can do it in minutes.

I like to have both options at my disposal.

Push button convenience up on the deck, down on the patio there is the rustic option.

I just flip a switch and the same gas which is running the furnace runs the grill too.

The yard here was landscaped. It was just a little too old lady flower gardens for my tastes.

Not that I got rid of all of her flower beds, but I like it a little more rustic, so I've been moving in more shrubbery and whatnot, and my wife has vegetables growing as well.

My prize yard possessions are my trees.

I've got red and green maples, pine, fir and birch.

My upper yard is like a yard, I've got lawn and gardens.

My lower yard is like a copse of woods, my own private park.

The couple we bought this place from did it up nice.

From the deck you're looking out over the tops of the woods.

From the patio you're in a yard with lawn and gardens.

But then there's even a lower patio, which is actually in the woods, so it's like patio at the cottage.

I did however add a Trump wall. 8 feet high, imitation board on batten.

It's not that I don't like my neighbors, I just want the option for seclusion when I feel like it.

Now there are vines which climb the Trump wall and green it in, so it's getting real nice.
