Patty Marleau trolling retaliatory hit in the corner.
Was still right about that though, even though I was trolling too. That's what made my Marleau hit job such good trolling, deep down, you knew I was right.
He hasn't been the problem tho.

For example Kadri retaliates for DeBrusk turnbuckling Marleau brutally, and it was a brutal hit.

Yet Patty Marleau jumps right back up like it ain't no thang.

He's actually a horse, and he actually skates faster than Kadri.

Bloated Two Phones bad contract notwithstanding.
He's not the problem at all right now, he is a horse, the durability and longevity are something else, and he still pretty fast, especially for someone his age. Gotta give him that, unless you're just a douche bag Marleau hater, who refuses to give him any credit at all.

Bloated Two Phones Bad Contract Notwithstanding.

Babs can platoon him with Nylander to fill the gap left by Kadri

Marleau-Nylander-Moore

Or

Moore-Marleau-Nylander.

He's still a useful player, it's just a cap hit issue.

Agreed. Not sure how much longer he'll be a useful player, but right now, he still is. Age will eventually catch up, even to the ageless Patty Marleau.

Also his reputation for disappearing in the playoffs is undeserved.

He seems to go easy in the regular season, then he kicks it up a notch in the playoffs.

He's actually one of the few Leafs who can hurt people with a body check, he can crush people when he's fired up.

It's not that he disappears in the playoffs, it's that when he's your best player, or one of your best players, he's not good enough to get the job done, but that's more on the rest of the team, than it is on him, San Jose knows.

But if Matthews was as willing to mix it up as Marleau is, Matthews would be dominating.

It's like 6'2" 220 lb Patty Marleau does not need little Nazem Kadri to protect him.

Veteran Marleau didn't take the bait like a crazy Arab.

Marleau shook it off and took the number, he would have got DeBrusk back himself, Marleau can lay a body check.

Never the less, the Leafs need to balance this line up out.

Too many Johnsson's, Kapanen's, Moore's, Brown's, Ennis's, Petan's etcetera,

Too many Hobbits not enough Orcs.

They need a couple guys like Wilson, Ritchie, Anderson, Ferland, etectera.

Can't beat the Boston's at their own game, but you can't be a team of Hobbits neither.

Altho Kapanen is more like an Elf.

Kapanen is the one I want to keep, for the speed.

Problem being he's going to be expensive, so can only really bridge him.

If he pulls a Nylander, invasive NHL hockey parent hold out, then you gotta trade him.

Too many Hobbits, not enough Orcs, great analogy.

One guy I covet who I think the Leafs could pry out of Anaheim is Max Jones. From the London Knights.

Anaheim actually needs some more speed, the Leafs need a Max Jones, could be a deal there.

Nick Ritchie is a blockbuster, getting Max Jones is more doable.

I would trade Kadri for Ritchie, but the Ducks are trying to get younger.

I think Two Phones is the guy to call when they're ready to move Kadri, Kadri is a perfect fit for NYI.
