Harris is the establishment pick, with Beto as the backup.

Re: 2020 election
Right, the establishment like electability and name ID, hence they are backing Biden right now. If they don't think Harris has better chance of beating Trump and lack Biden's name ID, they aren't going to side with Harris, if they do, then they will flip to her. Same goes for Sanders.clubgop wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:43 pmName ID, name ID, name ID.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 10:40 amThen why are all the establishment voters in these polls supporting Biden and not Harris or Beto? Pretending that Biden isn't the establishment pick right now, is just factually incorrect. You might project that to change, and I think it's likely that could change, but right now is a different story.

You were literally using the same argument to claim we were either getting Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton in 2016. You cannot learn, I guess.

There is no Trump in the Dems 2020 field. You just wish there was.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:50 pmYou were literally using the same argument to claim we were either getting Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton in 2016. You cannot learn, I guess.
If you think Trump proves any old anti-establishment candidate has the upper hand on any establishment candidate, that underestimates Trump and overestimates the effectiveness of being anti-establishment.

Nor do I believe the DNC establishment has fuck all control over the democratic party electorate. The democratic party voters are not going to nominate another establishment candidate, and if the DNC tries that shit they pulled last time again, then we are going to see more democratic party convention riots.

Of course going establishment is going to piss off the far left, and going far left is going to piss off the establishment, the Dems are fucked no matter what.

They are not fucked. The nomination, first of all, is still wide open. There is no telling where this will lead.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:55 pmOf course going establishment is going to piss off the far left, and going far left is going to piss off the establishment, the Dems are fucked no matter what.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:51 pmNobody said that. Secondly, the general election is not a done deal either. Trump burned his base in December. The left is energized to replace him while his own supporters are demoralized by his own dipshit decisions.

Trump's base isn't going anywhere, just because Trump pissed you off doesn't mean the base turned on him. His supporters aren't demoralized, just some fringe misfits who project their own views on his base.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:57 pmThey are not fucked. That's exactly correct. Enough of Trump's base is NOT GOING ANYWHERE on election day.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 6:01 pmTrump's base isn't going anywhere..Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 5:57 pmThey are not fucked. Trump barely fucking won that election. In some of those rust belt states he won by only a few thousand votes, dude.
