EVERYONE starting out with $0 and working for more money is the same as EVERYONE starting with $5,000,000 and working for more.
A fast food burger is, what, like $1.49? If everyone gets $5mil, it'll be $1.49 PLUS the cost inflation of EVERYONE starting at $5mil instead of zero.
How is this not clear to people?
Or better yet . . . how come no one calls bullshit on these cities and nations that "test" UBI by giving money to a sample set of 500 people? The 'U' in UBI stands for UNIVERSAL, dummies. If you aren't "testing" it out on EVERYONE then you aren't testing UBI. You're testing giving a few hundred people more money. Derp.
Everyone knows when you give a few hundred people more money, then those few hundred have more buying power. When you give EVERYONE the same amount of money, prices will simply adjust to everyone's new economic starting point of $X instead of $0.
