And a terrible one.
Actually, since you deem human life more valuable than pigs, and by your own logic, being created to be tortured is better for the subjective individual than to have not existed, it follows that breeding humans for slavery is even better than breeding pigs for meat. That's your reasoning, come to bite you in the ass.

No by my logic, humans life being more valuable, means that we shouldn't eat humans, but we should eat pigs, because their lives are not valuable enough to warrant never killing them for food, human lives on the other hand are more valuable than that.

Also, I am clearly not for torturing pigs, I want them killed as cleanly as possible, and for their lives before they are killed to not be torturous.

I'm all for fixing the problems in factory farming of animals, but that doesn't mean they should stop doing it altogether until those problems are fixed, that's just dumb.
Why would "they" fix anything, when you're handing them your money?

Supply and demand, you understand it?

Out with the demand, out with the supply. Going vegan is how you let them know it's time to "fix things." Once they "fix things" and animal agriculture chucks the animal abuse and the environmental destruction, you can get back to it, eh?

There are other ways to get them to fix things than going vegan, going vegan isn't stopping them from doing shit, the rest of the world isn't going to go vegan, me going vegan isn't about to make them rethink fuck all.

If you want to delude yourself into thinking that going vegan is going to help, whatever helps you sleep at night, but that doesn't mean you are actually helping, you just feel like you are, and there is a big difference.

Yes, they should.
Factory farming should not exist.
You just aren't prepared to give up cheap meat. Just like you are not prepared to pay for a lower carbon footprint.
Shitty self-interests getting in the way of a better life for all.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Yes by your logic, you were saying it's better for the pigs to be bred for slaughter than to have never been bred, because their lives are valuable in and of themselves, no matter what happens. If pig lives are that precious, how much more so human lives? To breed human slaves is practically a moral imperative, by such unassailable logic.

No, they shouldn't. Your self-interests do not Trump the self-interests of meat eaters. The only one standing in the way of better life for all, are the people wanting to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Mate, meat consumption keeps going down, while the vegan population keeps increasing, that's a message we're sending em, and they're getting scared, you want to be a part of the solution, yeah?

No it isn't. Slavery resulted in a lower birth rate, especially when talking about the American version. Enslaving humans is immoral, enslaving pigs isn't, human lives are more valuable, if you want to make the idiotic argument that pigs lives are just as valuable as humans, the holes in that logic are your own, I don't subscribe to that view.
