Minimum wage is not the way to close the divide, that simply exacerbates the divide. Pretty much every other form of wealth redistribution is better at exacerbating the divide less than a minimum wage would, yet lefties still counter-productively push for it anyway, despite having better wealth redistribution schemes they could support other than a minimum wage.

I’d support a scheme that links pay for everyone else in a company to management compensation.

Who's gonna run the "scheme?"

Corporations have rules. Build it into them. Compensation for workers would be fractional to management, so we don’t have management making hundreds of times the compensation of the least paid.

Small businesses would require personal responsibility on the part of the consumer. Don’t buy from someone who lives in a McMansion and has employees on welfare. The people who don’t hire businesses with illegal workers should recognize and approve of this concept.
