In a hypothetical situation, if 80% of the jobs were automated, it would be ridiculous to continue our population at its present level. Seriously, some kind of birth control should be dumped in the water or forced sterilization. I could get on board with something like that in a big way. We should also put birth control shit in the food AID we send to Africa and Toiletstan. Or we could make it a requirement. If you want food relief, you have to get a nonreversable vasectomy. We should also put broken glass in the Third World Food Relief after it has been dipped in HIV positive blood. Kind of like those smallpox blankets we gave to Squanto.

Birth rates already collapse in helotville, only the global poor have lots of kids, once the robot helots take over, won't have any use for them other than producing an heir, but that would probably done by cloning.

I wonder which kind of Robot overlord would be worse:
one programmed like HAL 9000, or one programmed like McAffee antivirus. I'd probably take HAL tbh. Even though he'd kill me, I'd ultimately suffer less. McAffee would just keep torturing you with updates and restarts until you killed yourself.
