Ever heard of funneling? Where you put the wall matters a great deal. You obviously want to funnel illegals to cross certain portions of the border where they will be more easily apprehended due to other border security measures, and place the wall accordingly.

Perfect is the enemy of good. I'm all for fiscal responsibility, but at the end of the day, no matter how effective a plan will be if implemented, if it can't pass then it simply can't be effective. If you get working on that sales pitch and make your cheaper more effective plan politically feasible, than that all could change. Trump made a damn good pitch on his plan, time to work on the pitch for yours.

Alls I was saying from the beginning; waste of money, not effective at all, could be spent in other ways, which would be far more effective, and, if they went high-tech instead of concrete and rebar, much more value added in terms of spin offs. Border security is big business, I'm scratching my head as to why they would blow seed money down the drain on 1600km of concrete and rebar to nowhere; that's not border security, that's a sculpture.
