Isaiah Thomas is 5'7", and the reason he's good at basketball, has little to do with with physical strength. It's not just size and strength, it's skill.MilSpecs wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 12:05 pmThat’s not what I said and you know it. The size and strength is not equal so the women can’t play with the men.
I don’t watch fights of any kind, including hockey. Too violent. I don’t even watch my pro relative fight and I didn’t watch my brother play hockey in high school.
Thomas can overcome his physical shortcomings, but why can't the women? They aren't anywhere near as good as Isaiah Thomas in the skill department, in addition to not being as good of an athlete when it comes to strength and speed.
I get that you want to believe that women are just as skilled as the men, and only physical limitations are holding them back, but that simply isn't true.

It's fucking Biological Science. How in the fuck did SJWs become Science Deniers?StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 12:17 pmIsaiah Thomas is 5'7", and the reason he's good at basketball, has little to do with with physical strength. Men have 30% great lean muscle mass, and that muscle tissue is 10% stronger than females. Men have 50% greater bone density than women, and stronger connective tissue and joints. Women carry around twice the percentage of fat than men.
This makes men stronger, faster, tougher and more resilient to women.

It's not just biology though, it's a big difference in skill level as well. Men are indeed bigger, faster, stronger and tougher, but they are also a lot more skilled as well.C-Mag wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 12:27 pmIt's fucking Biological Science. Agreed.
Men are naturally hunters and competitors. Our minds are geared toward focus on tasks centered around eye hand coordination, hitting targets, picking intercept vectors, etc.

Re: Random Olympics discussion
I've trained a lot of folks in my life to do physical tasks. Most recently I train harness structure climbing and fall protection. When you go do the practical application of skills portion the men generally go do the task, complete it and are like. Ok, got that done. That was cool.
When the women do it, they are like. WOW, DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID. I DID IT, I DID IT. And we still have men congratulating them on a fairly mundane task that does take some physical and mental concentration and coordination, plus overcoming natural fears. But I've noticed in the last couple years, men are less and less likely to do the confirmation congratulation to the ladies.

MMA and Boxing, apples and oranges though, to be fair, especially when the MMA fighter has grappling heavy focus. I mean, compare Cristiane "Cybrog" Justino to Max "Blessed" Holloway, much fairer comparison, same weight, massive gulf in skill differential.

Yes, but they’d have to publicly admit that they can’t compete with men. Thus unwinding some of the SJW gender nonsense. What’s happening right now in sports is the best possible retort to it.Haumana wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 11:40 pmNo because women will want to win eventually. Subaru didn't account for the the 30 year evolved Tiger Wood in his scenario. So really he just said that female sports is 30 years behind the men. There is a reason there are segregated sports despite the fantasy that milspecs wants to believe. Testosterone vs Estrogen produce different humans. Thems the breaks.C-Mag wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 11:06 pmActually, that would be the best possible result. All Genders compete against one another. Sadly, we'll never see it.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 9:51 pmThe optimistic outlook would be to hope that this means the eventual death of “women’s” sports. I for one would prefer to see them compete directly with the men.
Who knows, in 30 years, there might be a female Tiger Woods out there.
Don’t jump all over me, until you think about it.
