Washington State, just north or east of my location, may be your ideal Snow Bird destination. It’s cold in the winter but little snow, and it’s rather Old School Liberal, which is where you hang out.

Dude, here Portland, Seattle & San Francisco are aberrations, but Canada is Commieland. However, I’d live in Florida; great weather and Commie-haters.

p.s. I’d move but 2 of my kids live here. That overrides everything.

p.s. You’re welcome to visit my house (north of Portland in Washington) and stay as long as you’d like. We got the Gorge, the coast, Mt. St. Helens, and Portland is cool as long as you’re only visiting.
