The fantastic thing is that no one has any idea of when critical mass is reached. Could be today, could be in 6 months, could have been a month ago.

The state is a giant blunt object that only knows brute force and violence. There isn't much to stop the petulant kid from stomping on the fire ant hill once he sees red.

There is plenty, and a country like France is under a tight microscope right now.

And this time France is in the wrong. If this keeps happening, will the US get involved? The UN sure in hell won’t.

Why on Earth would the US, and even more bizarrely the UN give a damn about some French rioting? If the UN hasn't bothered to do anything about China's treatment of its people or Saudi Arabia's, why on earth would they suddenly care about some minor French rioting?
