2. Stuff - we have a ridiculous amount of stuff. So much, one of our biggest businesses is storage units to store our stuff.
3. Skills - maybe I'm shaded by my environment, but the amount of skills I'm around constantly with people I know is pretty staggering. Fabricators, Machinists, Mechanics. Not too much they can't build with some time.
4. Fuck You attitude to the Man - This is definitely an American thing, few nations have it. I'm not sure any of the European nations who developed under Monarchies have it. Americans are literally, hold my beer and watch this. They can do the unexpected, and suceed.
5. We are builders - we make things, from homes to businesses, technology and mundane items. Americans build shit, always have. We see a problem and build something to solve the problem. Hell, we remodel homes for fun.

Again, those are traits of America. Our society is obviously better than Venezuela’s ever was, though we’ve all but destroyed the family unit.

I just meant that you should never pretend that we are different than them, given the same circumstances.

I have been reading a lot about Communism in various countries, from North Korea to Russia to Ethiopia lately, and it is eerily similar the ways that the govt forces its entire citizenry to become utterly fucked without the state. Granted, there are differences. We are smarter, better looking, and have a better culture (arguable since we have Lena Dunham, and other SJWs in Hollywood but you get what I mean) than them, but the govt's thought process is identical. You latch onto the thing that allows the common people to not need govt, and then you demonize it first. The Russians used the Kulaks. A peasant who lived well beneath the poorest American but had 2 cows instead of zero cows was a kulak, because he could at least provide milk for his family without being totally dependent on the government. Bam! Lets denounce him as an enemy and take his cows. The propaganda blitz comes first, then the use of force to destroy worthwhile individual and community traits and cultural norms. The Maoist and the North Koreans did the same thing. Once you steal everything from the everyone and turn them into helpless infants, they are clay in your hands. Our govt is so good at tricking morons, they don't even need to officially do it all the time. They have morons in the media at CNN and elsewhere to do it for them, denouncing guns, family, etc, anything that would make people more self reliant and less in need of uncle sam and his welfare dollars and eyes of Gorgon. Can you imagine how horrible it must be to live in a country like the UK, where you need a triplicate govt form to even pass a bowel movement? We are heading in that direction, but sadly it is the direction of the fucking losers and prole ant-people. Pray for us.

Man, I think it would be a very positive experience for both parties involved if these immigrants from former communist parties talked to Cortez supporters and Bernie Bros. If you could get a bunch of them in a room at a rally, and then have a person from one of these countries speak to them, and explain to them what life was really like under that system. I don't know if it would do any good, but I feel like a few of them would start to do some actual research and critical thinking and examine their beliefs. Who knows. I always enjoyed talking with veterans from various wars the US fought, and it made me want to learn more about the conflict, plus talking to someone, especially if they are older than you, makes you kind of look up to them because they have life experience in some heavy shit. I suspect a lot of these leftists would be very impacted by such a conversation. At least after that, they could not claim ignorance.
