We are self sufficient agriculturally, and we send millions of tons of wheat abroad. We produce groundbreaking medical technology and weapons, and we make amazing aviation machines that are purchased by governments and militaries around the globe. We put a man on the fucking moon more than once. How is that for "reasons?" What is truly remarkable is that we did that in spite of all the problems we had. I know that you are relishing the day that our country collapses, and love to shit on America, but we are fucking better. What has Venezuela done? Set up a kleptocratic socialist state that cannot even provide toilet paper for its own citizens? Despite all the corruption in America, citizens have a high level of trust in their government and among citizens in their society. This level of trust is because our institutions work. Why do they work? Because our values are better than Venezuelans. We are not the same as them, and we have differen opinions about graft, family, and independence, and self reliance.

We have always been weary of government replacing the family and community. That happens in every socialist country, and the results are always the same. Americans place a high premium of self sufficiency. It doesn't always work, but it has kept the worst aspects of socialism at bay. But letting in millions of non english speakers will undue everything we have set up. It will fuck with our labor markets, our crime rates, and expand the role of government to accomodate bilingual speakers and more people getting on welfare. 63% of all of our legal immigrants are already on govt programs, to say nothing of what we spend on the problems illegals cause. We have a strong emphasis on family despite progressive attempts to destroy it. Once the family is destroyed, the government will fill that role and do a horrible job. Multicultural societies always have a lower level of civic pride and trust than homogenous ones. Numerous studies have shown this time and time again. It is perfectly fine to worry about banking fraud and corruption at the top, but the fact of the matter is, the shit going on at the bottom will ultimately be what does us in. If we end up like Venezuela, it will not be because some Bible reading Southerners still have guns. It will be because we can no longer afford to pay all our DREAMERs and apathetic Americans welfare.

If you think Climate Change is gonna happen, then you should be thanking Trump for securing our border, or at least bringing this issue back into the open. We will be swarmed with everyone from central America fleeing their own desolated countries. Our military has discussed this. If you are worried about automation, stop letting in millions of low skilled non english speakers. Our labor pool is already fucked up, and the last thing we need is for millions more people in this country to be unemployed, restless, and collecting welfare. It is not certain that either climate change or automation will disrupt our society, but those are two big reasons to stop letting in the entire third world, and to take things like Nationalism, borders, and smaller govt seriously.
