Re: Venezuela news
I thought the brother paying the guy to sleep on a couch outside his house for security interesting.
And...…….. The waves of gangs that attacked the old lady next door. First were the predators, then came the scavengers. Fucking Golden Horde, right out of Rawles.
In 299 Days the author writes about how government makes a deal with the gangs, and uses them to do things they don't want an official name on. That happened in Venezuela too.
Biggest lesson from this is, you have nothing, if you can't protect what you have, because someone will take it.

Re: Venezuela news
If that happened here you'd see some motherfuckers going Marvel streetfighter hero for real, though.
You've got how many dudes recently separated from a military career of nonstop war??
Some shit like that would probably tempt me to hunt down some of them if possible, and I generally would want to keep a very low profile. The scavengers, particularly, really just need to die.

The back drop of that entire article was that people kept a low profile to survive. Carry shit in trash bags, never let anyone know what you are doing, dress to fit in. The brother had forged some small alliances. But pretty relied on very close friends and family.
It would be wild to imagine that type of collapse in America.

But we need to let in more socialist/rapist/non english speakers to drain our treasury. Otherwise, how will we ever achieve Venezuela's cultural dominance?

If you do not have anybody to protect, though, I suspect there is only so much of that shit you can take, and that old lady would likely be my breaking point.C-Mag wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 1:52 pmThe back drop of that entire article was that people kept a low profile to survive. Sometimes a man might decide it is better to die fighting than live like the gray man in perpetuity. There has to be some end point to make it worth my while to hunker down for years and years. Nothing to protect means nothing to lose and holy fuck would I want to cut down those motherfuckers.
Worse, how many men will lose their families in the violence? One very tough combat vet losing his family would result in a serious vigilante threat.
I think the Army would take over here, personally, and veterans would likely fall in line.

Re: Venezuela news
Venezuelans are a pretty nasty people in general. They are often gang members, looters and rapists. I think huge segments of them welcome the collapse because they were too lazy to work in the current system, and now they can steal and rape with impunity (not that Chavez did much about it before the collapse. Hell, he armed many of them and gave them carte blanche to rule over their little favela gang fiefdoms). But her der der Oliver Stone and Sean Penn said Bush was bad and Chavez and Venezuela are the good guys. Fuck that. You idiots ruined your country via socialism, now live in your own filth and don't expect a plane ticket to America or any aid from us you fucking lowlifes!Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 2:00 pmIf you do not have anybody to protect, though, I suspect there is only so much of that shit you can take, and that old lady would likely be my breaking point.C-Mag wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 1:52 pmThe back drop of that entire article was that people kept a low profile to survive. Re: Venezuela news
And that is the part left out by the article that is a huge difference.
In Venezuela, that guy sitting on the corner couch and the army troops who collect the bodies are all part of the government. The army does not do shit because security would allow people to do something effective against the communist government.
The government and the army are the same thing in all communist regimes. Nobody serves who is not down with the cause.
In America most of us are on the other side. Our loyalty is to our nation and some shot like that would cause us to want to preserve our people from that kind of suffering. The Venezuelan army wants the people to suffer. Big difference

Re: Venezuela news
Fuck Venezuela. No one should give them a dollar of aid. If you give us permanent access to your oil from now on, we will give you a semi truck full of Nabisco crackers. They are too irresponsible to have the oil anyway, and they would just waste it on misguided socialist policies, so we should just take it. Not a bad deal either. If you are starving to death, you can't eat the oil anyway. Just take the crackers and give America the oil.

Re: Venezuela news
They are a product of socialism, though. They are not inherently fucked up people at all.
Like I keep telling you guys, who constitutes your army means everything. This is the result of their army.
Do not be fooled by this convenient fiction in America where we pretend the army serves the people. The Army serves the people as long as that keeps the peace. Our generals would not countenance this shit on our streets. They will take over and reset things by force if necessary.
Venezuela's army created this conflict on purpose to retain power.

I agree with everything you said, except where you said that Venezuelans aren't shitty people.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 2:17 pmThey are a product of socialism, though. They are not inherently fucked up people at all.
