Re: Europe, Boring Until it's Not
In my hypothetical eco-fascist new world order polluting is going to be expensive.
Look on the bright side though, jobs in the tax collecting sector are going to go through the fully insulated, sustainably sourced roof.

London is the pollution hot spot for the UK, tops out in pre capita, total tonnage and concentration.

It's more like - People polluting the globe. Do you realize how densely populated those red areas are?

And.. if you actually cared about effective punitive taxes to curb pollution, would you not focus directly on the concentrated areas?
What I dislike most about most of these punitive measures is that they always seem target the people most who are not urbanites, often as not are used to actually redistribute wealth into the cities, and constitute a less effective measure to accomplish their ostensible goal. In the case if Macron I believe that to be deliberate.
Most of this global warming scam is an excuse by globalists to enrich cities and economically subjugate rural areas.

Fair point. Given that that's a fallacious kind of logic that I criticize quite often myself, I should have been more wary of engaging in it. My apologies for the assumption.JohnDonne wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 7:24 pmThe questioning of the veracity of carlus’s proposed solutions does not imply that I hold the reverse negative position. Of course rural populations pollute more pr capita. You have to drive more to get your essentials in a rural geography than you would need to in a city.
Yet what conclusion are we to draw from that fact? That if only rural populations had more supermarkets and malls next to where they live, they wouldn't need to consume so much fuel; everything they needed would be within walking distance? Oh... that's great.. sooo.. the solution to rural populations polluting so much is to turn farmland and forests into cities. Great plan, that... sure that will do loads of good for the environment.

I don't disagree with any of that. The Climate Change panic is all about grabbing power and money and very little about actually addressing any real problems.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 4:47 amAnd.. if you actually cared about effective punitive taxes to curb pollution, would you not focus directly on the concentrated areas?
