For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Disgusted with their own incompetence, Norway appeals to be re-subjugated to Sweden.
Sweden rejects the offer, citing Norway's incompetence.

England ponders a return to medieval armaments, but can't find any actual, remaining trees.

Norway looks to the Canadian military for advice, but they've abandoned the field.

Don't disgrace the man with false platitudes, remember him with honor. Hockey War 2018 was a Bridge too Far for Smitty.

It was a stupid proxy war. He didn’t have to be there.

Communication log from the crash. Multiple warnings. Last word from the harbor control is pretty much "this will be a collision", 15 seconds before impact.
When asked about how many on board, the frigate gives the wrong answer. He says 134, when they in fact had 137.

The guy talking from the frigate first, is talking in an eastern norwegian dialect, while the guy coming in later, probably the captain, has a bergen dialect. And from what I've been able to dig out, the captain of that ship during the exercise is a bergenser. So it was probably some lower ranking guy in charge when this happened, then they woke up the captain, and he took control once he got his pants on.

PARIS (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron used an address to world leaders gathered in Paris for Armistice commemorations on Sunday to send a stern message about the dangers of nationalism, calling it a betrayal of moral values.
With U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin sitting just a few feet away listening to the speech via translation earpieces, Macron denounced those who evoke nationalist sentiment to disadvantage others.

“Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism: nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism,” Macron said in a 20-minute address delivered from under the Arc de Triomphe to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

“By pursuing our own interests first, with no regard to others’, we erase the very thing that a nation holds most precious, that which gives it life and makes it great: its moral values.”

And our "moral values" are... Let in everyone from everywhere, let's not worry if they're rapists or jihadis, who cares if your own citizens get killed/fucked in the process since you're forcing them to pay for it all in the process of their own destruction... We're giving the country life by making Allah great, and don't you dare say anything about it or we'll shut you up forcibly. Just because you were born here, are a citizen here, pay taxes here, don't fucking think we're gonna put your interests first.
