I'm not asking you to regurgitate other people's talking points, I want to know what you think... I know, it's a novel concept.Hastur wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 10:00 amWhat was already pointed out. The job interview factor and the obvious lying. He lost me half way through the way he’s ignoring her obvious lying and political motives.

I'll buy a hashtag t-shirt if they are unbleached hemp with organic dyes made in a carbon neutral factory complying with fair trade working condition regulations.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

You sound like the guy in the Bud Light commercial that wants a light mead. At least people who drink light mead still drink alcohol, he is more like he wants liquid courage in a bottle as long it's soy milk based.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 12:32 pmYou sound like the guy in the Bud Light commercial that wants a light mead. Nobody knows what happened, but if they both lied to bolster their side in regards to a rape allegation, neither of those lies is insignificant imo. His lie concerns me more than hers because he is the one jockeying to make decisions that will affect the public.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 10:18 amwell he did go through those three days of testimony, i've never been a barista but im sure many of them lie about boofing in the 80s tooJohnDonne wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 9:48 amI don’t understand why its even being argued in kavanaughs favor that he faced perjury if he gets caught lying, one would think that gives him even more incentive to be honest, which he wasn’t.
Nobody said it was just any job interview, but even lying on your application at Starbucks is enough to get it thrown in the trash, apparently standards for the Supreme Court don’t meet the barista threshold?
i guess i fall on his side positively, or rather he gets more sympathy from me, because her lies appear to be more significant and calculated. downplaying his party boy past is to be expected yknow, lying about puking and that sort of shit just doesnt do it for me as far as "perjury" goes. that words gets thrown around pretty carelessly on both sides, in my non-lawyerly opinion
again im not stoked on neo-con kavanaugh so im not trying to rally to his defense here
