Remind me... wasn’t this near where Russia sank their entire nuclear sub fleet in the past?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:43 amRadiating your own nation would surely be a good indicator. What could possibly go wrong with the idea of nuclear minefields??

Well, in general, you bury land minds in soil, and submarines have a hard time in that medium, so I am going with no.The Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:44 amRemind me... wasn’t this near where Russia sank their entire nuclear sub fleet in the past?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:43 amRadiating your own nation would surely be a good indicator. After the cold war, Russians had subs in an enclosed massive lake. They sank them after the end of the cold war... wish I could remember where, but it was in Europe, closer to Russia than France.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:55 amWell, in general, you bury land minds in soil, and submarines have a hard time in that medium, so I am going with no.The Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:44 amRemind me... wasn’t this near where Russia sank their entire nuclear sub fleet in the past?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:43 am

Poland does not border on Russia unless you count Kaliningrad. Last I checked Belarus and Ukraine are between Russia proper and Poland.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 8:42 amPutting a base in Poland would be a bad idea. I love Poles, but they border on Russia. Hard pass. We will just end up with another South Korea commitment that is destined to get run down like a speed bump.
I have no trouble selling them equipment and arms, though.

They have territory on the border, I thought. Don't they have a port city there? Or did that change too?Hastur wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 3:02 amPoland does not border on Russia unless you count Kaliningrad. There is an enclave, Kaliningrad, squeezed in between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic coast. It used to be named Königsberg when it was part of East Prussia and Leonhard Euler sat there and thought about crossing all of its seven bridges without passing the same one twice.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 4:15 amThey have territory on the border, I thought. The Russians have a lot of bases squeezed in there. It used to be the most militarized area of Russia but I think they've cut back a bit.

When I grew up, there was just this one big Russia that definitely bordered on Poland. They were scary as fuck back then. Now they make funny drunk driving videos and they have all these little spin-offs everywhere. I cannot keep up with it.
