It's more like 70. Their preferred temperature is closer to 75 or possibly a bit higher. We often don't compromise on that at all.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 10:35 amTrue. We’ve tried to drive them out of our offices, by keeping things at a meat-cooler 72 degrees. Somehow they’ve resisted.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 6:40 amI have come to the realization that there really is something to this temperature oppression issue. It's kind of fucked up what we do with the temperature.
I don't know how hot it is where you live, but it has been in the upper 80s around here. Last weekend was something like 88F or 89F. I am sitting in a restaurant with someone who also likes to people watch, and we are just talking about the people coming and going in this restaurant. It has a heavy take-out business, so people come in, order their pizzas, and head out when the pizzas are cooked. I saw women coming inside wearing shorts, because pretty much everybody is wearing shorts it is so fucking hot outside, but they are wearing long-sleeved flannel shirts. No fucking way these chicks are wearing flannels outside in that heat. They had to bring those fucking things and wear them before walking into the store because they know what is waiting for them. She broke it down pretty well. The night before she had to bring an extra shirt to the movies because she knew it would be cold and she could cover her legs. It all just kind of came together that they actually have a point here, dude.
On the grand scale of problems, it's nothing like fathers being alienated from their children and enslaved, male suicide rates, etc. But it's so easily dealt with and we don't even think about it.
