I have very much enjoyed the Free Speech, Free Fire Zone and I appreciate that you've opened it to us.

You're the boss, we need to know what the new Rules of the Road are. Please give us more a framework so we can self regulate. All we need is a short paragraph or a few bullet points.

But I wonder if it only applies now to the democrats. Because the entire left is trying that against Trump and it's obviously not very effective.

Yeah, that's an uncomfortable truth. As society melts, we're watching the lowest common denominator rise to the top of the podium. And somehow, it seems to be affecting even the Silent Majority.

I don't have a good solution, but it is a serious problem, and getting worse. Generally, one would hope for a superstar debater to rise above it all, and find some common truths that we can agree on. But one can't counter an endless wave of nonsense from the ignorant.

I was hoping to be that person. I think it can still happen but I've got to figure out how to insulate.

You can lock down the comments section on your campaign facebook page though, and just not allow it to happen.

From what I know of your campaign though, it sounds like you didn't do any canvassing or yard signs, or any of the traditional 'groundwork'. That probably has a lot more to do with the votes than any garbage that was spewed online.

There were probably a millionish votes cast, and I seriously doubt that a significant percentage of them were on your facebook page.

I've been successful at a few things in my life. The one symptom they all have in common is that there was some indication they would succeed. If I got nada, I abandoned shit. This was my 4th campaign. I'd tried the traditional stuff before; lots of money, little results. The one thing that does work is getting a posse of people who get their own posse, etc. So, first step, get your posse. (Do NOT pay for your posse; I've been in business, paid "friends" are not a good thing.) I was TRYING to get my posse through my online presence, that's why the pack-attack was so effective; who wants to be associated with someone who is constantly being dumped on?

If you look at the original thread, you'll see it was irony. (A "Free Speech" argument countered by censorship.) But it quickly switched tone to serious, and I was ready to discuss this particular topic now.

Honestly have no Idea Martin. I will say that if you have a few bullet points of what's not acceptable, most everyone will self regulate, those that won't will point to the rules and take care of it.

Personally, I don't like folks asked to leave, forced to leave, under threat to be booted, etc. for nebulous reasons. I'd rather it all be public.

I like the local town blotter so the community can see where someone fucked up.

Or form a meme team to go after the opponents on every social media platform. You can create just as much stink against the others as their followers do to you, and probably more effectively.
