What if we re-designed the electoral to be counted by county instead of state?

Stop immigration for a few decades and I am all for a popular vote for the presidency.

Democrats would be fucked if we went to a popular election right now.

Hamilton really did FUBAR our country.

He got everyone from Flounder to TC and most in-between jerking off for a popular plebiscite on how awesome the empire is doing.

Democracy is just cover for the empire and its media. If Hillary had cobbled together 270 electoral votes, we'd be getting a non-stop feed about her mandate and "I won," Barry Soetoro style. As it turned out, we are getting "democracy under attack from the rooskies" 24/7.

An argument can be made that entire convention was illegitimate. They were only authorized to amend the Articles of Confederation.

The Living Natural Man kind of has a point there.

Over 3000. California 58.
So, how many counties in CA voted for Trump vs voted for Hillary in CA?
Hillary won 33 counties in CA. So Trump won 25. You picked a bad state, Massachusetts is HIV positive, California has full blown AIDS.
Did I?

Let me ask this, if we did the election instead of winner take all, but winner take winning counties, what would the numbers look like?

The election wouldn’t have been close, Democrats couldn’t depend on specific states to carry them. Instead we would have the people vote, and their votes would count more significantly.

The “people” would have spoken.

Yeah, it was a coup.

Mention to a marxist that all the warnings from the ant-federalists were correct, and that the federal government became exactly what they warned it would, and they'll agree.

Nailing the windows shut might be a clue also. Literally, they nailed the fucking windows shut in the middle of summer to keep everything nice and secret.

So if we shift back to county level government, the head of the county should go back to holding the title of Count.

How? Not all counties are equal. A county is not a balanced unit population wise. Do you even know how a state gets assigned electoral votes?

I know fully well, but let me ask this... has that help states like Illinois?
