It would be a shame to see this employee's market workforce with 4% GDP growth get fucked up by some hair brained socialist bullshit out of the brain of a silver spoon bar tender.
This is the first documentable to thing I've seen that shows the Dems have a decent chance in the Mid-Terms.
What? Primary turnout rates? I dont know if that helps them.

Who is turning out to their primaries? If it is more like what happened in NYC, then Dems are fucked.

What's the difference between a "Democratic Socialist" and a "Social Democrat" again?

The rules governing primaries can (and do) vary considerably from state to state, which can make it tricky to compare turnout across time, between states and among different offices.

The degree of support for capitalism and how much they refer to traditionel Marxism in their arguments.

DS still believes that one must move beyond capitalism and believe more strongly that capitalism is a source of wrong for working and lower class people in the world. They propose getting to that stage through a series of reforms with democratic support.

SD's, by contrast, have today accepted capitalism and seek to improve the lives of working and lower class people by raising taxes on the wealthiest - like the DS - but are careful to not being or being seen as too anti-business or anti-industry. Most SD'S in Europe neither refer to themselves as Socialist, nor do the "Das Kapital"-waving, capitalist hating, actual Marxists accept them as such.

Thanks, i remembered one group was more socialist than they other but couldn't remember. Its all so jumbled politically and the differences between Euro and American political parties is confusing to but hey its fun to learn about.

I think when kids learn from even the news, that things like universal health care and tax-paid higher education for all, are "Socialist", when supposedly educated journalists report from "Socialist Scandinavia" and tell kids how well things are working here, that our "Socialism" is okay... they are going to think Socialism can't be that bad.

The idea that Northern or Western Europe is, or ever was, "Socialist" has been pushed so relentlessly by all sides of the American political spectrum, you have an entire generation (of Americans) who- for completely understandable reasons - don't think Stalin or Mao, DDR or Khmer Rouge, when they hear the word Socialist. They might instead think that Denmark - a capitalist economy with no minimum wage, a state religion and a monarchy is the ideal Socialist state. They are clueless, but they were brought up to be.
