Zander is often called pikeperch. Here's some good footage of what Stockholm fishing look like. These guys are good.

Looks like a fish you would filet and fry, Where the Fuck is Monte when you need him ?
I like to fry it. Keep the skin on. Fry skin side first then flip. Serve with potato puree and some chopped tomatoes mixed with capers, dill, red onion lemon juice and browned butter.

All I know about pike is that you have to soak it overnight in clean water to get rid of the muddy taste. They are ambush preditors and spend most of the day in the silt on the riverbed.
Not really a good eating fish.

That was a recipe for zander. One of my favourite fishes. I'm not a huge fan of pike either but you can make great quenelles or paté from them.

Not a huge fan of fish. I grew up in Florida, and every time I stayed with my father, all we did was eat fish and shrimp harvested from the river. To me seafood is like the cheap option now.

I do like some shrimp from time-to-time, but it takes a while for me to want it again.

I can eat chicken and beef every day just fine.

I like to eat fish at least twice a week. This time of year I need a lot of Gambas Al Ajillo. With some nice bread to soak up the oil and a cold Riesling to wash it down.

You should eat fish at least twice per week. It's very good for you.

But fuck that.
