Border patrol and hurricane relief and...? And in this hypothetical scenario do military vets get more than one wife or hows that work to? Lastly, in your fair opinion is there any other significant or noble profession? or person beside a vet?

Saluting is for the military. It's covered under ucmj giving it the force of law within the services. For everyone else it's just pretend.
