I already gave my opinion in the RIP thread. He’s an American hero,
IMO.
I'll go read it

What am I missing on Bourdain ? I'm seeing tons of articles canonizing this guy.

He was a good communicator, pretty standard human interest show centered around food. Very much the model of the human interest pieces we used to see when the big 3 ran the news business. But what was great about him ?
People are always greater when they're dead. No one (or almost no one) don't really want to be the guy who contradicts the exaggerated tales of the virtues of the deceased. At least not during the first week or so after a death. That seems to usually be when the: "...yeah, but he could be a bit of an asshole" sort of conversations, start to become acceptable.

And, of course, someone's always "great" if they were on your "team" (wether they were or you just imagine so). Then they're positively godlike at death, because any negative talk about the "great" dead guy means a "win" for the other team.
What I'm hearing is they are canonizing Bourdain because he said he would Poison Trump if given the chance.
That's because in the current climate EVERYTHING is about Trump.
That one throw away comment, a joke which has been doing the rounds for centuries, is what the right want to remember.
The man had a massive appetite for travel and for learning about the food and culture of the places he visited.
Of course those invested in disparaging multi-culturalism will find whatever they can to attack him with.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Oh please, if jet setting around the world sampling the food of different cultures as guest isn't an advert for various ethno states over the homogenized multicultural fare he hated than I don't what is. I liked his show but it always seemed with all that traveling he was looking for something and/or trying to escape something. Gotta wonder what got to him to make him end it. Better question, what's keeping you and dirty dick around?

We enjoy watching the animals at play. It’s useful to witness the decline of thought, among a select group of pseudo-intellectuals.

It's funny. The guy wanted white people all dead.

but these faggot liars said he didnt

so the video of him saying it was posted

so these faggot liars decided to defend it

and it was explained to them that they were genocidal if they wanted to see all white people dead

so now they're in another thread pretending like none of that happened, and they are somehow the intellectual titans in here.

They're a special bunch.

You should be championing Jordan Peterson not the ugly thot that allegedly "rekt" him. JP is literally in your corner on nearly every issue.
