Though I think the Miss America pageants are silly T&A shows, those women are intelligent.

This past September Cara Mund, a Brown University honors graduate, made history by becoming the first woman from North Dakota to win the title of Miss America and a $50,000 scholarship. Prior to becoming Miss America 2018, Cara earned a bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, and organizations, and completed an internship in the Washington, DC, office of U.S. Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota.

Her accomplishments include finishing a Bachelor's Degree, and working as an intern.

Odds of a normal-looking person from the middle class getting that internship... nil.

There are thousands of scholarships that have nothing to do with academic achievement. My nephew just got one for being part Italian, and got another one for helping out during a couple of swim meets at the local pool. You are awfully weird lately.

Do you want to do away with every scholarship that isn't based on academic achievement? Because, you would literally be taking away millions of dollars from HS graduates.
