Here's a piece from our boy Clay worth thinking about:

The NFL Anthem Controversy Is Bad Business

The best college basketball player I've ever watched in person was Chris Jackson. And I've seen a LOT of college basketball in person. Nobody remembers anything about him now at all, a shame.
Good article.
This is what I'm saying about bad leadership. The NFL is trying to satisfy everyone and are wrecking the brand over it.

Let 'em strike over the new rule if they want. If this is such a big issue to them, they should follow Kaepernicks example and put their jobs on the line.

I disagree with Kapernick, but I’ve got more respect for him than I do for the NFL leadership. At least he stands ... we, kneels ... for something. The NFL decides to offend everybody by trying to offend nobody. I thought this issue was settled last year when they decided players could do whatever they want.

It’s their biz, if they want the (trigger warning) “inmates running the asylum”, that’s their call.

Wish-washy ass NFL.

I'm mixed on Kaepernick. I respect he was willing to lose his job for his beliefs, but I have a lot of problems with his position and his method of execution.

I'm all for a body cavity search of how LEOs are trained and engage US citizens. People of all colors have their rights and lives infringed upon by the Police. Making it purely racial is divisive.

Sure ... but you know where Kepernick stands. That means you can reliably predict how he’d react to a variety of situations. The NFL leadership? May as well blindfold yourself and throw a dart when trying to guess what they’ll do. Jelly-spined people pleasers are notoriously unreliable.

On a related telephone ID note, I just quoted a Jedi post and saw this:
quote=jediuser598 post_id=185004 time=1527263139 user_id=7279

Now, obviously that number is one digit shy of a phone number ... but WTF? Hash trying to go mad scientist on us?

Someone get the conspiracy theory peeps in here so we can sort this out!

Yeah, you’re right tho. None of what I posted is real. Nobody’s watching you.

Suck it up blacks, you don't get freedom of speech.
Like this bitch has room to talk. You are fine with criminalizing speech for a pug but an employer not the government has to let them do whatever on thier dime? No bitch, they have strict uniform rules, what about their freedom of expression? English faggot is fucking dumb.

I can’t replicate it now, but that is a legit quote tag I pulled from the Seattle thread. It jumped out at me because it didn’t quote properly, making the post look like shit. When I re-quoted the same post it worked and the tel: entry was gone.
/shrug

Plus, never said no one was watching. Said. No one would bother bearing the costs of investigation if some random handle on some obscure site completely unaffiliated with the business said non-PC things.

It’s interesting that these discussions always come back to the employers right to fire someone, but never whether they should.

Corporations are perfect blame-deflection structures.
No bitch wrong again. English faggot is also wrong. The whole Google argument was should. Very few if any was over can.
