You must be prepared for a stoppage at any moment, you're not going to train with the weapon, so that would exponentially increase the chances of you failing to chamber the round properly on the first go.

You don't get warning, and once it's time to move, it's too late to move.

Well, I'm pretty tuned into the financial markets, and I can predict within a small window when The Collapse would happen. Once it does, it will probably be a couple of days before things get Weird on the ground.

I'd imagine that most people would just sit home, glued to the tv news, and confused. They'd wait for the Fed or the government to fix it all. Businesses would be shutting down almost immediately, with promises everywhere that it's just a temporary anomaly that will be fixed in a day.

Everything would be civil for a while, as savings and supplies dwindle. Protests begin in DC and the state capitals, burglaries rise somewhat, as the junkies get hungry.

By the end of the week, all hell starts breaking loose, and all bets are off.
