For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Oddly enough, I saw the Lewis and Clark one on The Strip. I was just using some comps at The Flamingo. I don't have regular TV at home because I'm 41, not 91. So I was like, "let's give the old PBS a whirl." Got reeled in for the whole enchilada. I thought it was very good. Among other things, it was a fine lesson in what giant pussies we all are by comparison.heydaralon wrote:I know you liked that pbs documentary on Frank Rroyd Wright and Rewis and Crark.Hwen Hoshino wrote: Did not watch a documentary about history in years but i don't recall being bombarded with that.
The same thing happened another time when I was just changing channels at some hotel and I happened to catch the last episode of Letterman. It was pretty moving. Not only the end of an iconic career that spanned my youth, but also one of the last faces of a truly common TV culture. I guess nearly everyone watches dumb shows about wizards and zombies now, but I don't so they don't count.
I only watch regular TV like 3 times per year, but God has been good to me.

Hannibal is mediocre. But I thought the same thing about Lost and 24 and didn't watch Friday night Lights.StCapps wrote:Lost (ABC), Friday Night Lights (NBC) and 24 (FOX) are the only really good Network TV dramas that I've seen that aired during the 21st Century. I've heard good things about Hannibal (NBC) though, especially the cinematography, never got around to it though. These are the exceptions of course, far from the rule.
I can't think of a Network drama I really liked in the 21st century at all. But luckily my brain has been rotted enough by TV in general I can rewatch Columbo, Rockford Files, etc. with some regularity as I forget everything after a while.

Yeah, I’d have to go back to... I dunno, X-files? To find a network show that was worth watching at all...LVH2 wrote:Hannibal is mediocre. X Files was the most recent I could think of too. There have been some comedies, like Family Guy, but not drama.

Lost and Friday Night Lights, I say.
As far as comedy goes, it's a fucking travesty that they cancelled Freaks and Geeks after 18 episodes, probably the single worst decision a TV network has ever made.

1st Place for Network Idiocy goes to CBS, cancelling Star Trek after 3 seasons.StCapps wrote:Lost and Friday Night Lights, I say.
