The govt doesn't need a Pearl harbour event to gain support for a war when it can get that with dodgy dossiers from the intelligence services just as easily.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

If my memory is right, then it was an epic battle between DSL and Navy? I could be wrong but I do remember an epic battle where, at the end, everyone was basically shitting on the Truther. Good times, good times....de officiis wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:Yeah... Kinda figured it would go this way. Good job, guys.
/thread.Did the old thread on the DCF suffer the same fate? I recall there was a die-hard truther who got into an epic posting battle with someone (maybe DBTrek, but I could be wrong) over the conclusions of the NIST Report.

This alone:Montegriffo wrote:I'd say most of the points in the OP fall under cock up rather than conspiracy. You are seeing possible motives and confusing them with evidence of complicity in my humble opinion.
Is way, way, wayyyyyyyyyyy too bizarre to be a coincidence.the fact that NORAD was, at that very moment, conducting an exercise concerning hijacked airliners, which caused a massive delay in response.

I once saw a guy get exactly the same straight flush twice in one session. 4 to 8 of clubs about two hours in between each hand. What are the odds of that? No one at the table thought anything funny was going on, different dealer each time. Coincidences happen. Sometimes even very, very, very unlikely ones.

About 42 trillion to one, pulling the same 5 cards out of a deck twice in a row.. (52*51*50*49*48)^2Montegriffo wrote:I once saw a guy get exactly the same straight flush twice in one session. 4 to 8 of clubs about two hours in between each hand. What are the odds of that? Playing a 7-card game increases it quite a bit, but still - Your ass got ripped off, my friend.

No, we play tiny stakes, he didn't take a big pot either time and if he was the cheating type he would not have been so stupid to have the same hand twice like that. KK v AA would have won him much more money. It was just a mad coincidence and we still talk about it now. Poor old Gary died this year at the age of 47 so maybe he just had all his luck in that one session of poker.
