You're only as good as your last game, that's another reason Reynolds stands out, every single book is good, there's not one bad one, they're all worth the read, although, I'd recommend audiobook format, narrated by John Lee.

This makes me very sad. Jerry was a great man. Wrote some awesome books. Was a great tech journalist, helping to start the genre at byte magazine.
He was also into wargaming. I remember reading some of his stuff in Avalon Hills magazine General.
He was also a regular panelist on TWiT back when that show still mattered. He once got Larry Niven to join as well.
