It is when it comes to you, hell you are half the time a PMS Molotov cocktail just waiting to be thrown. The other half, you use emotion to make a point.

The fact is that your "math" test is faulty because we already know the answer, you are using it to prove a point that I already made a long time ago, by pointing out that if all things were even, Chicago would still be the murder Capitol.

On a side note, look at population density per square mile and you'll see Chicago is far more compact, and in turn more people living in a tighter region... so you are ignoring a lot of other factors for "raw numbers" to make a point that doesn't work on nearly any level except bare bones basics.

Let's do some math, TC.

Chicago 2.7 million people. Murder rate is 27.05 per capita = approx 475 people
St Louis 315,000 people. Murder rate is 59.3 per capita = approx 186 people

Apply St. Louis' murder rate to Chicago (27.05 * 59.3) = 1,604 murders it would take in Chicago to equal St Louis' per capita murder rate.

On the other side, if St. Louis had Chicago's murder rate, they would only have 55 murders.

Math. It's real.

Can't do that by your own logic, because the numbers don't work.

Obviously, you aren't one of them, because you don't understand the basics, especially since you need to take more into consideration than just one simple number to correlate your conclusion on.

Thinking is hard, TC, just always go with the highest number and you'll have your answer.

Only slightly off-topic, what town is the Boogie Capital of the U.S.A.?

I know the song about it, but I'm not sure where it is.

Sometimes I’m down on myself for not being great at math.
Then I read these threads and feel better.

Well, then that's Chicago since it has the "larger number".
