God, Guns, Gas & GIs

The main difference between Liberals and Conservatives is the 4Gs: God, guns, gas, and GIs. As a Liberal, I have little interest in any of them but they DEFINE the Conservative agenda. It’s not that I’m against the 4Gs, in fact I can offer better arguments supporting each of the 4Gs than I ever hear Conservatives use, it’s just that I put them further down the list of priorities. I’ll go as far as to say that most Liberal vs. Conservative political debates are priority nuances, not ideological black-and-white issues like Liberals vs. Libertarians or Liberals vs. Progressives. Because of this, there's a natural alliance between Liberals and Conservatives that no one seems able to forge? It was there during the Cold War so I know it can happen. Somebody needs to tell those people that the true enemies are Libertarians/anarchists and Progressives/Marxists!
