Tufts Medical Center will close its children’s hospital, known as the “Floating Hospital,” by July 1, the hospital announced Thursday at a press conference. Tufts plans to convert the 41 children’s hospital beds to adult ICU and medical/surgical beds, citing patients’ changing needs.
