ormer President Donald Trump’s team has launched a new social media platform, billing it as an alternative to Big Tech sites.
Named GETTR, the app advertises its mission statement as “fighting cancel culture, promoting common sense, defending free speech, challenging social media monopolies, and creating a true marketplace of ideas,” Politico reported Thursday.
Trump’s former spokesman, Jason Miller, is leading the platform, described as similar to Twitter, Politico reported.
I'm very suspicious of all these Twitter clones. The only one that seemed like true opposition, that being Gab, was compromised months into it's boom of new users, Telegram is the same way. I don't see why Gettr would be any different.
It's like they set these platforms up to gather in folks who may have been outside Twitter/Gab/Telegram.

Seems a long long way to go, just to identify political opinions.

I wouldn't join anything Trump launched.
Learn from his University, guys.
I'd vote for him over Marxists tho.
Sound advice, but honestly, Trump U wasn't much more of a scam than most universities that sell worthless degrees.
It was useful for getting woke Marxists to lament the fate of those poor, poor, rich people who paid six figures apiece to attend.
That's no easy trick.
YOU try to get a Marxist to shed tears for a rich white person.
Good luck!
Look at the Varsity Blue fraud. They went after the parents that payed to get Buffy and Tad into a good school, but not one fucking University official that took the payoffs was prosecuted. It was like arresting the Johns and letting the Hookers go.
