They defeated the most popular & effective president in history to get back in control, and there’s no chance they’ll let that happen again.

So what now? First, the chance of anyone actually making it into The 1% is zero, so that isn’t something you lost. Also, meritocracy has long since been replaced by nepotism, so working hard is a losing option. Men are already laughingstocks; you’re used to it. Life will remain hand-to-mouth with credit filling in the gaps. Essentially, it’s not like we’re losing anything we hadn’t already lost. There’s no place to go unless you want to drop out, and if that’s the case, you can drop out here. My advice for from now on is:

1) stop being conscientious at your job
2) exploit every grievance
3) take all government largess
4) push for UBI
5) claim you have some ailment that requires special treatment
6) lie to everyone you don’t care about
7) hide your weapons
8) don’t save money or plan for the future
9) do things to piss off the people who piss you off
10) revel in adversity, and cheer on the collapse

To see this from Martin is painful, but its not a lie

I am already kinda doing (1), def doing (6) and (7). A few years ago, I was highly motivated to achieve professionally, since then, I see everything as a random casino, and find that I get the same rewards with a fraction of the conscientiousness. This is however hard for me.

I do not know how to revel in adversity however, this is the real reason I'd never be a Great Litigator. I have to force myself to be more disagreeable than feels right.
