It would be funny if they were paid better. I have been in break rooms in hospitals with staff and they have the same dark humor. Pharmacist can be much the same. Cops and firefighters I am sure are the same way. They have to cope with some bad, evil, shit.
The difference with day firefighters and surgeons or even pharmacists is that those people I'd imagine have more agency in their lives day to day than a damn Facebook moderator , I mean think about what a guy like that actually does for a living vs watching and reading people's perversions and fantasies expressed online.
