It's Washington DC, it's global politics, hard to say what will happen. I'm guessing Christopher Wray was chosen out of a pool of Senior Executive Service officers. As such, he's automatically part of the Swamp. From all indications Wray, Sessions and Rosenstein are Swamp Creatures. Doing their best to protect the people that have dirt on them.

The problem for Wray is that he answered the question properly according to the law, plus if a case like the Clinton Email abuse or Fast and Furious are reopened (The DOJ is turning obver F&F docs this Spring) there is going to be a very heightened look at everything the DOJ and FBI do.................... He can't pull a Comey/McCabe, presumably the IG report says the FBI committed crimes allowing the Clinton team to destroy evidence. So, Wray may be painted into a corner.

A) mysteriously disappeared and ignored

B) overshadowed by a crisis and ignored

C) classified and ignored

Like I said, I love your optimism, but the most cynical outlook of government seems to be right 99% of the time lately.

Listen, historically speaking, we live in the very best of times in the very best geographic location on this little blue marble. That alone should stem some of your cynicism. There is a hell of a lot to be thankful for, for us, we bitching privileged humans. We dodged a huge, fucking huge bullet not electing HIllary.

We would know nothing of the FBI, CIA and DOJ being used as political arms of the POTUS. It would become standard practice. But because the Cheetoh Bombast won, we all get to take a hard look at government. We have Congress standing up to the POTUS for the first time in probably 40 years. We have a press that is not automatically printing what the Whitehouse wants.............. their still backing the old Establishment, but they have revealed themselves as corrupt establishment agents.

It's a fucking awesome time to be alive. Not without it's problems. But we get to live to watch the biggest shake up in government since the election of Lincoln take place. It's pretty damn cool.
