Aussie Lingo (2017)

Learning another language is difficult. After a year in Great Britain, I just about picked that up, but even after multiple trips to Australia, I'm still trying to get my ear around it. Even if I learn the lingo, I'm not sure how to use it; I mean how do you use “flat as a shitcarter's hat” in a sentence? Some words are simple definitions; for example:
Dog's eye - meat pie
Dead horse - ketchup
Dead dingo dongers - frankfurter on buns

But I was never very good on tests.

Half the words on those lists are English.
Butchers (hook) is literally cockney rhyming slang.
Leave it out dingo fiddlers, get your own f'ing culture.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
