Olympics Bloggette 2/11 5:15 GMT

Post by K@th » Sat Feb 10, 2018 11:20 pm

So I've had three people contact me about private Olympic discussion, but it was over a 48 hour period. Maybe something like below could work.

* what could work is to create posts with the same heading, with time of day. No need to read through the 18 pages of spam that will ensue; simply start a new blog post and respond to previous posters, or not.*

Whose with me? Feel free to suggest a new tag line for subject.

My thoughts

Women's ice skating is better than men's this time.
Ice dancing sucks
Snowboarding seemed pretty lame today
How do they cross country ski uphill?
Always love Alpine and ski jumping - looks like a good year for Alpine.
I like watching curling because the moves are interesting, but it's also like bowling and totally boring, but I have no idea how the scoring works. Basically, I read while watching...
I wanna luge one day
Now that I get the point of Biathlon, it was interesting to watch. Learned a bit, today.
Account abandoned.

I can't believe they will keep it up for 17 days but yup this'll work. Either that or start a thread with the title ''only post hockey here if you hate Queen Elizabeth II and are a commie fag''.
Ice dancing is to sport what Clubby is to polite discussion.
Curling can only be watched if you care who wins. I'll be watching team GB no doubt but the rest ....meh.
Uphill skiing has to be really hard work.

It's not hard to ski uphill on Nordic skis. You can ski uphill with Alpine skis too, that's called Skinning, you use skins on the skis and heel elevators.

In deep snow, it's easier to ski uphill than it is to walk uphill.

If you want to go Alpine backcountry skiing, or off-piste as they say in Europe, that's where Skinning comes into play, unless you have a helicopter that is.

That is what we all said when you walked up to that day care center, but we were wrong. Took a shot at me, I gave you a receipt. Feel free to hit that complain button.

Nah it's fine. You just made my point for me anyway. No sense of humour and incapable of polite conversation. Knock yourself out big boy.

I don't have any difficulties having a conversation with clubby, I find him to be quite reasonable actually.

Clubby is welcome at my campfire anytime, he'll drink for free, so long as he drinks whisky that is.

But does ice dancing really compare to hockey in terms of pure strength and skill?

Easily. Plus, ice dancers have all their teeth.
