Right of Violence

Before sophistry, back when men decided things with clubs, it was clear to everyone that the only natural born Right was violence. Logically, only the most violent survive but that would eliminate women which would eliminate that strain of pure logic such that only tribes with inherited altruism would continue. As sophistry became the norm, and people no longer had a daily reminder, they forgot where power came from: namely, the natural born Right of Violence.

Violence is the only way to keep a society intact, either personal violence, or the voluntary submission to State Violence in exchange for democracy. If the citizenry will not submit voluntarily, they will reassume their Right of Violence against those in power, the elite, then they must be quelled by the force of violence. That works until the numbers opposing the elite become problematic.

I think you admit yourself that violence takes a backseat to survival and gene propagation, it’s why we have altruism, so would it not be more accurate to say it is the “right of survival”? but survival is evidently dependent on many factors, including things like adaptability, and ideas. Certainly violence is one of the instruments the idea genes use to propagate themselves and their human hosts, but it may also use persuasion and an appeal to good nature, as in our democracies. If we should remember anything about the “right of violence” it is that it is merely an idea which confuses violence with survival, and paid a dear price, as the idea is now largely defunct.
