Exemption from the sweetened beverage tax
If a distributor sells products from a certified small manufacturer (annual worldwide gross revenue of $2 million or less), those sales are exempt from taxation. The manufacturer must apply for the exemption with the City.
Interesting.

Luxury and sin taxes are the way to go.
And, as a luxurious sinner, that is statement against self interest.

Can you convince enough people that it is either a luxury or a sin to vote to tax it?Speaker to Animals wrote:So can we tax birth control? Because that would be fun times.

Then people will just move on to abortion as their birth control. So tax abortions and make the people getting them pay for them. Then you'll see outrage. And tax the shit out of Marijuana too.Speaker to Animals wrote:So can we tax birth control? Because that would be fun times.
All the liberals fine with taxing soda and other choices they deem to be "bad" will throw a fit over these and start up with their "it's my life and I do what I want" BS. They want to control everyone else except themselves.

Good for the store owner. Now the $15/hr. employees have to pay more for their lunch (and their soda to go with it). Maybe the $15 will even get them into a higher tax bracket and disqualify them from their government freebies. Just wait until all those sink in. Then you'll hear them squealing louder than when they were clamoring for $15. Well, at those of them who still have jobs after businesses cut staff to make up for the higher labor costs.Fife wrote:
