Meanwhile, I never canceled my pre-order, and have been having a shitload of fun playing. You don't need the crates to complete story mode, and the thing people are complaining about is being able to collect all the weapons and skills without playing forever in Multiplayer. Sure, there's the gambling aspect of when you buy loot crates, but if you don't like it, don't buy it. You'll still be able to play Multiplayer

You have to keep buying the $9.99 loot crate to maybe get it. Otherwise, you can get the battery-powered one after about 16 hours of grinding, but it doesn't actually blind the other players.

I read that it would cost about $4800 to unlock everything lol. That's a totally solid used car or 2 or 3 semesters of college.

Its such a cynical business strategy. The thing is, this is the way businesses think most of the time, but when its so transparently scummy and out in the open like that, people get really pissed. It is insane that they are basically burning the candle on both ends at EA and fucking you with the price tag and the crates. I've never been into gaming much, but this is fucking egregious.

Yep, which is the reason I'm not going to buy it. The game looks awesome and I really do want to play it but the anal rape from EA is not worth it to me.
