Convenient Dumping

I'm old enough to remember America before the litter laws; back when the average driver thought nothing of throwing something out of the window if a car, leaving old furniture on dead-end roads, or casually dropping hamburger wrappers on the sidewalk. Now we are indoctrinated from childhood to be anal-retentive about litter, and it worked. Unfortunately, Third World nations have no such stricture, Myanmar being the one of the worst. However, compared to their open sewers & cesspools, mounds of garbage lining the road for miles my not seem very significant.
